If you have ever been fascinated by how things work and what makes things happen, and wondered how this could be combined with a love of the visual arts and media, this is your profession. Here is where complex ideas and precious objects become three-dimensional stories. This is a rewarding profession. You actually get paid to work with interesting and smart people and have opportunities to use both your brains and your hands.

As an experienced exhibitions designer you will be involved with planning, research, design, development, proposal writing, visitor studies, communication methods, curatorship, conservation, program support, project management, education, scheduling and coordination, audio-visual support, graphics, electronic media, interactive technologies, computer modeling, fabrication, wayfinding, documenting and presenting, architectural space, formative and summative evaluation, and most important, creating a sense of joy and wonder.
