This course is designed to develop the practiced insight and skills needed as a professional in a museum environment with all age groups. It provides opportunities for preliminary observations and experience with professional museum educators and directors. The seminar is conducted in conjunction with museum visits and visiting lecturers. Through this process, students study dynamic teaching techniques that explore and interpret information, concepts, and cultural values of a museum collection. Hands-on techniques and experiences with curriculum development and methodology prepare students for research and internships.
